This talented Lady Tiger holds the Shadyside school record (girls or boys) with 1,723 career points.
Holenka culminated her prep career as a first team AP Division IV All-Ohio selection, averaging 21.6 points per game. She was also first team All-Eastern District, All-District 12 and All-OVAC Class 2A, earning “Player of the Year” honors in the Eastern District and District 12. Shadyside finished 12th in the final AP Division IV state poll that year.
As a sophomore, Holenka was honorable mention All-Ohio along with first team All-Eastern District, All-District 12 and All-OVAC. As a junior, she was a third team all-Ohio selection with a 26-point average, again earning first team All-Eastern District, All-District 12 and All-OVAC recognition.
She was a basketball walk-on at Oakland University in Michigan, playing all four years and earning Academic All-Mid Continent Conference honors.
Holenka was also a standout in softball and cross country.
In softball, she was a first team all-OVAC selection as a freshman and sophomore while in track, she set the school record in the 800 meters (2:25.3); finished fourth in the OHSAA Division III Regional in the 800 (2:25.79) to qualify for the state meet; was fifth in the regional in the 1600 (5:28.45); and placed second in the OVAC in the 800 (2:27.2) and 3200 (12:37.1).
